10 Tips for a Successful and Profitable Fundraising Event!

  1. Get several high profile students and/or well-liked teachers/professors to volunteer to be hypnotized at the show. Advertise this school wide.
     
  2. Put up posters at other schools within a 25 mile radius of the show location.
     
  3. Make tickets available for presale at a discounted rate ($2.00 is normal). Allow ticket sales at multiple locations and advertise the locations and times at least a week in advance.
     
  4. Place an advertisement in the local school paper. Have the show mentioned on daily announcements and email distributions to students and staff. If possible, have them interview the entertainer.
     
  5. Play a demo video in the cafeteria or high traffic location at least a week before the show.
     
  6. Have local radio stations and the school station do an interview with the entertainer. Recommend a popular DJ be hypnotized for promotion.
     
  7. Get local businesses to help advertise your event. Be sure to recognize the businesses that helped you promote during the show introductions.
     
  8. Create a fundraising event by teaming up with a local non profit agency and make a charitable donation to that agency on behalf of your school from the profits.
     
  9. Team up with other similar organization, clubs, or schools to maximize the attendance at your event.
     
  10. Give consideration to entertainers that have a ticket split or fundraising program. This option will provide you with a “Risk-Free” night of entertainment without the stress of the possibility of losing money.
